Bursitis - in an 8 year old

My daughter has been missing some school lately because of intense pain in her hip. I'm told, she has bursitis. A quick check on webmd.com has some good info, but also suggests its more common in people over 40. My daughter turns 8 (today, infact). Its a frightening scenerio that her body is already showing signs of intense strain at such a young age. I recall attending a seminar where the lady said that people with CP have bodies that age 2-3 X as fast as 'average' people. So when she is 20 years old, she will have wear on her body like a 40-60 year old. It breaks my heart. But I need to face this reality, and do what I can.

What is your experience with the aging process and Cerebral Palsy?

Wow, My daughter was diagnosed wit CP, and one of her main complaints is pain in her hips, when she walks of stands for to long. Also in the mornings after sleeping on her side. I never thought that it was caused from her cp, I was never told by Drs that it was a symptom to look for. Thank You, That answers one of my questions.
